Real Techniques Bold Metal Brushes

These brushes came as a set from www.boots.com for £50....... I think....... they are no longer available as a set but can still be bought individually.
The bold metal brushes are very luxury and are designed for perfect makeup application. They have weights in them so that they sit perfectly and the triangular shape of the handle is for comfort when using. The bristles are VERY soft and the brushes apply makeup beautifully.

There are 9 Bold Metal Brushes in total and this set contained 7:

100 Arched powder Brush

This powder brush picks up product amazingly and is the softest out of all of the brushes!

101 Triangle foundation brush
This foundation brush is triangular shaped so that it can fit around the curves of your face. At first I thought that it may may make your foundation look streaky but I was very pleasantly surprised to find that this was not the case in the slightest.

300 tapered blush brush

This blush brush is essentially a smaller version of the powder brush and is really good. I like to use this brush for blush and highlighter. This is probably my favourite brush of the set because it is so versatile.

301 Flat contour
This brush is very good at giving you are very defined contour because of the short and compact bristles. The brush is also very good for picking up product.

200 Oval shadow
This brush is very good for packing on product and for blending the crease if you don't want a very defined crease.

201 Pointed crease
This is the brush to turn to if you want a very defined crease as the shape of the bristles blend the outside but pack the product on in the centre.

202 Angled Liner
This tiny brush is great for eyeliner and also eyebrows because it is so small so can create the perfect flick or individual hairs.

Overall, the cost of these brushes comes to £121 which is a lot so looking out for them in sets makes them a fair bit cheaper.
I hope this is useful!

Sleek Barekissed Illuminator in MONACO

I'm sorry for not posting in so long but I would like to start getting into the habit of doing it again!

This is my review on the Sleek Barekissed Illuminator in Monaco.

The packaging is not too dis-similar to foundation packaging as it is in a glass bottle with a pump. Overall, the packaging seems very decadent and for only £8.99 I think the product is well worth the money!!!

The product itself is very illuminating as the name says but if you don't like a bit of fine glitter in your highlighters then this probably isn't for you as it does have a bit of glitter in it. The highlighter wears very well and I would say it is best applied with a brush, patted on the tops of the cheekbones. I found that when applied with a sponge, the foundation underneath moved around a bit. However, this might not be the same for everyone.

I think that the product is great and has become my new favourite highlighter.
I hope that everyone has had a great start to the new year and has an amazing christmas!!
