MUA Palettes

I have three MUA palettes, two of which are neutral, so I wanted to review those two. I am definitely going to get more, I didn't at the time I got them because I was skeptical of the quality because they are so affordable. The quality of these palettes are amazing. The shimmery colours are much better than the matte or satin ones and I would buy these palettes purely for those colours. Both of these palettes are £4 which is incredible for the quality and they are definitely both worth the money.

The black palette is called Heaven and Earth and is just lots of different shades of brown. The white palette is called Undress Me Too and has lots of different browns, taupes and a black.

Top row (left to right)-  Aurora, Amazonian Bronze, Babylon, Myan Dust, Valley and Golden Sand
Bottom row (left to right)-  Rift, Amber Dune, Cato-Comb, Tectonic, Canyon and Bedrock.

This is the Heaven and Earth palette. The matte shades are quite hard to see and this palette isn't quite as nice as the other but it does have some lovely shades like Valley and Cato-Comb. Most of the shades in this palette are quite orange/ copper toned which can be nice sometimes but doesn't really suit my skin tone which is why I prefer the other palette.

Top row (left to right)- Naked, Devotion, Shy, Fiery, Lavish and Dreamy
Bottom row (left to right)- Tranquil, Exposed, Reveal, Wink, Obsessed and Corrupt

This is the Undress Me Too palette and it is gorgeous. It has a wider variety of shades than the the other palette which I like and you can create most neutral looks because of the variety. Shades such as Wink and Dreamy are beautiful and very shimmery and highly pigmented. The shimmery shades have quite a buttery texture but the mattes are quite dry which I don't like. The shade Shy is very grey-toned and although you can't really see it in this picture it is the one shade that I hate because of this.

Reindeer Nail Tutorial

I decided that I wanted to show you a really simple nail art tutorial for a reindeer that looks quite difficult so that you can impress everyone with your festive nails!!!
You will need:

  • A white
  • A brown-toned nude
  • A gold
  • A dark brown
  • A bright red
  • Red glitter
  • A black
  • And a base coat and top coat

1. Apply your base coat and then a gold polish to your whole nail.

 2. Apply the dark in an domed shape two thirds up your nail.
 3. Next use the brown toned nude to create a another domed section halfway up the dark brown.
 4. Then use the nude again with a tooth pick and draw on the antlers- this is kind of difficult to see.
 5. Now take the red and apply a dot in the middle of the nude section and then put the red glitter on top of that. Make sure that everything else is dry at this point or else you will have glitter where you don't want it.
 6. Take a dotting tool and apply two white dots just above the nude section and then apply two smaller black dots inside the first two white ones to look like eyes.
 7. Finally, apply the top coat to seal in your design.

I hope you like this nail tutorial!

My new Makeup Revolution and MUA lipsticks

I got 5 new Lipsticks the other day from Makeup Revolution and MUA so I thought that I would review them.

From left to right - Dusky, Shade 2, The One, Nectar and Mystify

This is Dusky by Makeup Revolution and is a pearlescent pink with gold shimmer in. This colour is beautiful but you do have to be quite careful because it can make your teeth look yellow.

This is The One by Makeup Revolution. This is the least pigmented out of the five but still really good. It is quite a brown toned nude and is perfect to just throw on if you don't want to have to worry about it during the day because if it fades it isn't obvious.

This is Nectar by MUA and is super creamy and pigmented. This the most opaque colour out of the five and it is really orange for those who love that kind of colour.

This is Mystify by Makeup Revolution and you do need to be quite careful with this colour as it can also make your teeth look quite yellow. But it is gorgeous and super sparkly and pretty.

This is shade 2 by MUA. It is a beautiful purple toned pink and is super pigmented and only £1 which is ridiculously cheap.
All of these colours are only £1 which is ridiculous for their quality. They are all really creamy and quite moisturising. The problem with these lipsticks, though, is that because they are so creamy, they don't last very long at all. But, you can't really moan as they are so cheap. These lipsticks in general are perfect for things like a photo shoot because the colours are so intense and they have a massive range and they don't need to last long.

My Top 3 Nail Polish Brands

I love finding great products that are really cheap so I wanted to show you my three favourite drugstore/ high street nail polish brands. These aren't necessarily my favourite colours though, its the formulation and longevity and other things like that that make these my favourite brands!

1. Ciate
There is some debate as to whether Ciate is a drugstore brand as you can't buy it in a shop but the prices are closer to drugstore level than high-end.
I think Ciate nail polishes are amazing as they last for ages and they are extremely opaque. They are £9 which isn't super cheap but they definitely are worth it!

2. BarryM
BarryM nail varnishes are unbelievable as they are only £2.99 and they go on fantastically. They are very opaque with just one coat and they dry quite quickly. BarryM also do lots of nail varnishes that have affects: Gelly nail varnishes which is supposed to be a bit like a gel manicure but without needing a UV light and many more.

3. Rimmel
Rimmel nail varnishes are also only £2.99. They are very opaque with two coats and do last for a while. The one thing that I don't like about them is that the actual nail polish doesn't last very long before you have run out. This is because the bottle isn't huge but also the formulation of the polish is quite thick so it is quite easy to put on too much and waste it.  However what makes me love this nail polish is that the brush is great and makes putting it on really easy.

Makeup Favourites November 2015

These are a little bit late but I wanted to show you my November favourites:

This is the Sleek Blush in Pomegranate and it is quite a dark pink- red that is quite shimmery. It is perfect for this time of year as it is very Autumnal and I love the way it makes my cheeks look.

left to right- Indirect, Etiquette and Disguise. I think these are beautiful as you can just wear one all over the lid and be quite subtle with it or you can create quite powerful smoky eyes. They are super sparkly and amazing.

This is the MUA lipstick in shade 1. It is super creamy, highly pigmented and amazing and a lovely deep red for this time of year.

This is the Next Nail varnish in Big Apple. It is really sparkly and lasts a long time and you only need one coat for it to be very opaque.

This is the Ciate nail varnish in Silhouette. This is a gorgeous red toned purple and it is from my favourite nail varnish brand- there is a blog post going up tomorrow about my favourite nail polish brands.

Makeup Revolution Eye Dust

I got three of the Makeup Revolution Eye Dusts (but I am a bit confused because they are called Pure Pigments on the jar). They are beautiful and I love them so much.

These are the pigments in the shades (from left to right) Disguise, Etiquette and Indirect.

These are the shades that I have just got on my fingers in the same order as above.

These are the colours blended in slightly onto my arm. The colour on the left is Disguise and it is a sparkly khaki-green/ black. It is gorgeous and really pretty. The middle shade is Etiquette which is a sparkly gold/ taupe which is really nice pressed all over the lid. Finally on the right is Indirect which is a really pretty champagne which looks great in the inner corner of the eye or also all over the lid.

Makeup Favourites October 2015

This blog post is a bit late but I lost one of the things that I wanted to mention, so I decided to wait to see if that would show up. I am going to start trying to do one of these every month.
This is the Mac eyeshadow in Handwritten. This is extremely matte and is quite a cool toned brown so it is perfect in the socket. It is very pigmented and easy to blend. I love it so much and I use it whenever I want to do a cut-crease look.
This another Mac eyeshadow which I adore in Omega. I like this colour so much because it can be used for the eyebrows as well as the eyelid.

These are two eye shadows from the Kiko Clics range and they are in 241 (the darker brown) and 236 (the more champagne colour). They are both very shimmery and are super creamy and pigmented and amazing.
This a Mac Mineralise Eyeshadow quad in Golden Hours. I really like all these colours individually but the colour when you swish them all together is gorgeous. It is a bit like a shimmery version of Omega. It is so pretty.
This is the Big and Daring Glimmer stick by Avon in Boldest Black. This is very intensely pigmented, which I love. However, it can be a little bit tricky to get it off, but I love it anyway.
This is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1. This has super high coverage, is extremely affordable and doesn't crease so it is perfect. I will be doing a little bit more of an in depth post on this concealer to check back tomorrow or Wednesday if you would like to see that.
This is the sleek blusher in Pixie Pink. It may look extremely bright here but when on the cheeks, the colour dies down a little and gives you a lovely flush of colour.
This is the Kiko VolumeEyes+ mascara. This is incredible, it makes your lashes look amazing: they are extremely curled, not clumpy and very fluttery. This is definitely the best mascara I have every tried.

Multicoloured Leopard Print Nail Tutorial

I wanted to do a little tutorial on here so I am going to show you how to do multicoloured leopard print nails.
For this you need a neutral base nail varnish, lots of different bright colours, a black nail varnish and a tool to use to create the dots.
First start by applying a base coat and then paint on two or three of your neutral colour. I have used Amazing Gracie by Ciate.
Next, use the dotting tool to apply the bright colours in random dots and splodges.
Then, take the black nail varnish and the dotting tool and apply the black around the edge of the splodges. Do this in C shapes or in different sections.
Finally, apply a top coat so that this design a lot longer.

I hope that you like this tutorial and I might start doing more of these. Please check out my Instagram account which is IzzyBella_Makeup!!!
